人類因為運動傷害或意外發生,而必須在復健過程中穿戴護具,可以讓受傷部位減輕疼痛及得到保護,避免再次傷害直到完全康復。根據美國疾病控制與預防中心(Centers for Discase Control and Prevention)在1994年的問卷調查中發現,傷殘人士最常使用的護具是護膝及腿部護具。查詢中華民國專利發現從民國80幾年到今天共有超過數十種的肘關節及膝關節護具專利申請,搜集資料整理後發現護具的使用,其便利性、尺寸縮小及輕量化一直是改良的重點,然而直到近幾年的產品仍然是零組件過多,而且操作的便利性仍然有很大改良的空間,因此本研究即針對肘關節及膝關節護具進行設計改良,以操作簡單化、質地輕量化的目的,但不影響其功能性及強度。

英文摘要

Injury rehabilitation is vital for a full and speedy recovery. Wearing appropriate protection gear during the rehabilitation process plays an important role in mitigating pain and avoiding further aggravating the existing injury.According to a 1994 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey, knee joint and leg joint braces are the most commonly used protection gears during the rehabilitation process. Another research on the ROC Patent and Trademark Office database between 1990 and 2015 shows that there are dozens of patent applications related to elbow joint and knee joint braces. After further examination of those patents, we found that the focus of the inventions are the ease of operation, size reduction, and weight reduction. However, even the latest brace products on the market still have room for improvement in those areas. In this research, we propose design improvements in weight reduction and ease of operation for elbow joint and knee joint braces without comprising product functionalities and strength.
